Making a Difference…by understanding individual patients

We are excited to share next installment in our Making a Difference video series, which features inspiring stories of sustainability pioneers who have made it their mission through their work to improve the world around them. Today we focus on Bruno Ferré, orthopedic surgeon and cofounder of Digital Orthopaedics.

Digital Orthopaedics’ mission is to transform the way foot and ankle pathologies are diagnosed and treated. Their goal is to create a system that uses modeling, simulation and clinical-decision support tools to provide the medical community with a powerful method to prepare for and simulate surgeries for each patient.

Dr. Ferré’s vision is to develop a comprehensive and unprecedented understanding of each patient’s condition to give that individual the best possible treatment and outcome. His passion is driven by his favorite part of his job: the human contact of the consultation, meeting real people. He believes that by fully understanding each patient’s unqiue situation, and leveraging cutting-edge technology, doctors can best predict the expected effects of a treatment, with the lowest possible risks for the patient.

Dassault Systèmes is proud to support Digital Orthopaedics through our 3DEXPERIENCE Lab. The company joined the program in 2017, and have adopted the 3DEXPERIENCE platform on the cloud for simulation, modeling and automation solutions that allow the development, testing, and deployment of their clinical service much more efficiently.
