The world of making is changing, and businesses are digitally transforming from mass production to mass customization.  By embracing new technologies including platforms, 3D printing, Internet of Things and robotics, manufacturers can better address requirements, reduce manufacturing costs, quickly respond to customers and remain competitive in a rapidly changing market. To showcase its breadth of 3D additive manufacturing solutions, Dassault Systèmes will be exhibiting at RAPID + TCT 2018, one of Additive Manufacturing’s most influential global events, sponsored by the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) and taking place April 23-26, 2018 at the Fort Worth Convention Center in Fort Worth, Texas.

Dassault Systèmes will be located in the Smart Manufacturing Hub, Booth #3204 in the Exhibit Annex area on the show floor.  We’ll have experts on hand from CATIA, SOLIDWORKS, SIMULIA and DELMIA software brands who will demonstrate Dassault Systèmes’ approach to generative design, and how to deliver true end-to-end experience from ideation through to production, starting with in-silico material engineering, through to how to build additive manufacturing capabilities directly into the manufacturing line.  Our team will also be showcasing the newly launched 3DEXPERIENCE Marketplace where visitors can see how to extend their additive manufacturing reach and collaborate with manufacturers worldwide.

The Smart Manufacturing Hub features expert presentations focused on top trends and latest how-tos in Additive Manufacturing.  Industry experts from Dassault Systèmes are lined up to speak on a number of key topics during the show, including the following:

Rani Richardson

Tuesday, April 24 at 4:20 PM: “Additive Manufacturing: Where to Start?” featuring Rani Richardson, Director, CATIA Technical Sales Light Weight Engineering

Often times OEMs and suppliers are unsure how to make Additive Manufacturing mainstream. The challenges are to increase the adoption of tools and reduce the uncertainty that consumers have today. Once the industry has confidence in the methods and tools to repeatedly build parts, mass adoption can occur.  In this session learn how 3D software can foster the industrialization of Additive Manufacturing

Wednesday, April 25 at 11:20 AM: “3DEXPERIENCE Marketplace: From 3D to Real Parts in Record Time,” featuring Rani Richardson.

Learn about the 3DEXPERIENCE Marketplace, a cloud-based trading platform for digital design, engineering and manufacturing transactions, and the most seamless way to get your parts made while collaborating with leading digital manufacturers in real time.

Tom Schorr

Thursday, April 26 at 2:20 PM: “Print to Perform: Digitally Accelerating 3D Printing,” featuring Tom Schorr,Technology Alliances Director, Dassault Systèmes.

The 3D Printing or Additive Manufacturing industry continues to grow as machine-builders provide newer machines, faster processes and a diverse portfolio of materials. This growth – in no small measure – is fueled by the drive towards creating functional end-use parts. In the high-tech industry, printed electronics, meta-materials, conformal antennas, high-powered lasers and many other applications are coming to the forefront. The 3DEXPERIENCE platform from Dassault Systèmes enables companies on that journey through a portfolio of additive manufacturing roles – from functional generative design to manufacturing planning – to simulate the additive manufacturing process. Tom will share how companies can digitally accelerate the decision making process to meet product development needs for additive, and optimize hardware investments by reducing expensive trial-and-error print times. The result is an unparalleled digital projection of the physical reality of the Additive Manufacturing process.

Mark Rushton

Mark Rushton, Dassault Systèmes’ SOLIDWORKS Product Portfolio Manager focused on Additive Manufacturing will be onsite Tuesday and Wednesday and will be available to meet from within our booth during the show. Mark has been involved with 3D CAD and 3D Printing for over 17 years in several capacities from research to consulting for the likes of Rolls Royce, GE, JCB and Dyson. At SOLIDWORKS he is working to make Additive Manufacturing as “accessible to all” – as SOLIDWORKS did for 3D CAD over 20 years ago.

Be sure to stop by Dassault Systèmes Booth #3204 and speak with one of our experts. Looking forward to seeing you at the show!
