Dassault Systèmes (Euronext Paris: FR0014003TT8, DSY.PA) announced that Cellestial E-Mobility , India’s first manufacturer of electric tractors, has successfully adopted Dassault Systèmes’ 3DEXPERIENCE platform. Cellestial E-Mobility will optimize its performance to revolutionize e-mobility in India by producing innovative automobiles that address sustainability and efficiency in rural and urban sectors.
Through the 3DEXPERIENCE platform, which powers software applications like CATIA, SIMULIA and SOLIDWORKS to provide combined benefits of modeling and simulation (MODSIM), Cellestial E-Mobility will design and develop new e-tractor vehicle ideas, explore regional options, virtually simulate and validate performance, and ensure flexible manufacturing, all on one secure powerful platform. Cellestial E-Mobility teams can now seamlessly collaborate, design and engineer in real time – from anywhere at any time – share their diverse knowledge, improve product efficiency, and address sustainability. Aligned with Government of India’s National Logistics Policy, the e-tractors aim to accelerate adoption of sustainable farming in rural India as well as sustainable logistics and fleet handling in urban India.
As the mobility industry evolves toward electric, connected and autonomous vehicles, innovative companies and technologies are impacting vehicle design. New approaches are needed in a competitive marketplace to rethink and advance the vehicle experience, manage project complexity, and accelerate the delivery of smart, safe, sustainable and high performing e-mobility systems.
“Cellestial E-Mobility is a dynamic start-up driving the e-mobility sector that shares our vision for a more sustainable future,” said Deepak NG, Managing Director, India, Dassault Systèmes. “By using the 3DEXPERIENCE platform, the company will be able to focus on value delivery, accelerate mobility creation, and evaluate and improve manufacturing agility and continuity in a more cost effective and time efficient manner. These are ‘must-haves’ for a startup paving the way toward the certification of a new category of vehicles.”
“We aim to revolutionize e-mobility in India by producing innovative vehicles designed with sustainability and efficiency in mind, to meet the growing demand for electric vehicles in India’s rural as well as urban areas. To develop our e-tractors we needed a secure and scalable solution to track product development and project progress, and drive our efficiency and sustainability goals,” said Siddhartha Durairajan, Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer, Cellestial E-Mobility. “Dassault Systèmes’ 3DEXPERIENCE platform has enabled us to use applications like SOLIDWORKS, CATIA and SIMULIA to turn our concepts to products in a more efficient and timely manner.”
Dassault Systèmes’ 3DEXPERIENCE platform is a collaborative environment that empowers businesses and people to innovate in entirely new ways and create products and services using virtual experiences. The platform provides a real-time view of a business’ activity and ecosystem, connecting people, ideas, and data, allowing everyone involved to interact and work together. Businesses can seamlessly design and test new experiences, from idea to market delivery and usage, before actually producing or investing in them.
