On the occasion of the exhibition REFLET (S) organized by the committee Francéclat and held at this very moment at the Palais de Tokyo in Paris, FashionLab by Dassault Systèmes offers three 3D experiences around the jewelry field.

3D jewels maneuvering :

The first experience offered is a creative workshop where visitor can handle 3D designed jewelry  – note those jewels are completely virtual and does not (yet!) exist in the real world. On this workshop, visitors have the ability to manipulate and customize a jewel in 3D. They can make it rotate on itself to see all its faces, zoom in on part of it, and more importantly, they can change the appearance of the jewel playing with colors, materials and textures to design their own jewelry creation… all in 3D.

Interactive touchscreen workstations featuring a simplified and adapted for general audience version of the Dassault Systèmes are available in the booth.  The role of such tools is to assist designers (and here novice designers!) to explore and conduct new experience in the 3D digital creation field, combining the Dassault Systèmes’ technological expertise with the designers creativity. It is also a way for visitors to experience  these advanced techniques and to understand the characteristics of the jewelry expertise through 3D and virtual worlds.

To complete this interactive workshop, we also had a dedicated infrastructure with touch screens connected to DELL PC towers containing Q6000 NVIDIA graphics cards. The powerful combination of this hardware infrastructure with our design software made the high-quality rendering possible.
