SOLIDWORKS Customer Successes
Having met the eligibility criteria for participation in the SOLIDWORKS for Entrepreneurs Program, Nura Headphones reached out to InterCAD.
The startup company had initially raised $1.8m through a Kickstarter campaign – the biggest in Australian history – followed by a further $5m seed round last March, with input from Blackbird Ventures, SOS Ventures and Qualgro VC.
Earlier, through the SOLIDWORKS for Entrepreneurs Program, InterCAD had provided Nura with two 12-month software licenses for both SOLIDWORKS Professional and Plastics, which led to successful commercial conversion as Nura is rapidly scaling to be a global success.
“We needed to be able to rapidly iterate – we did close to one hundred versions of this particular component and then tested it on a very quick time cycle. SOLIDWORKS and rapid prototyping methods enabled us to get through 100 iterations in a matter of weeks, which made a huge difference because we were working to a very tight schedule.” Jonathan Yep – Product Design Engineer at Nura
Russell Mineral Equipment
Globally expanding and further leveraging SOLIDWORKS as a backbone for technical innovation, Australian sunshine story Russell Mineral Equipment has chosen to further invest with Dassault Systèmes.

SOLIDWORKS 2019 Technical roll out for VARs in AP South
The SOLIDWORKS team organised a technical session with technical sales engineers from all our VARs in AP South ahead of the launch of SWID 2019 events. The first day and half was training on desktop solutions, covering new enhancements available for SOLIDWORKS 2019 Beta 2. The remaining half day was the Introduction to 3DEXPERIENCE where we covered the benefits and eco-system of 3DEXPERIENCE, including the platform itself and Market Place. This was followed by the first hands-on on xDesign.
