The Rufus Cuff, a “wrist communicator” that can pair with both iPhone and Android smartphones, is designed for voice and video calls, web surfing, messaging, fitness tracking and other basic smartphone functions. A kind of smartphone/watch that you can strap to your wrist… Spill and splash resistant, it is made to follow you in almost all your activities.


Rufus Cuff Wrist Communicator: A super smartwach?

The device, which runs iPhones or Android apps from the Apple or Google Play Stores, has a 3 inch, 400 x 240 pixel TFT capacitive touchscreen display, a Texas Instruments ARM Cortex-A8 processor,  a 1000mAh rechargeable battery, 16GB of storage (4GB RAM), WiFi and Bluetooth connexions. It also features a GPS, a range of motion sensors (accelerometer and gyroscope), a build in speaker and built in mic, a front-facing camera with flash, and can vibrate or lights up (LED) when a notification arrives. The Rufus Cuff’s band will be  interchangeable and sold in a choice of different of colors.


The Los Angeles based funders of the Rufus Cuff are expecting to raise $250,000 through an Indiegogo crowd-funding campaign to bring their invention to the market.
