This innovative GPS-Enabled line of jewelry is equipped with the CuffLin, a tiny wireless chips that link to a smartphone app via Bluetooth.
A new accessories collection targeted at improving personal safety
Pressing for three seconds on the jewelry in case of emergency sends an alert and exact location to a list of predefined contacts. A vibration happens when a notification has been sent out so the wearer knows his alert is on its way. The dedicated app can also be used to send alerts to specific people in the list to let them know the wearer need to contact them.
Wearable technology and elegant jewelry
Wearable technology and elegance rarely goes together. Designed by Cuff, the elegant jewelry collection consists of contemporary bracelets, necklaces and key chains which hide the CuffLinc. The brand was created by Deepa Sood, former VP of Product Development at Restoration Hardware. She launch the brand encouraged by her mother whom seen the potential of a safety device that could provide security in an elegant way. Perfect for the seniors or people with illness like Alzheimer, the device can also be used to create connections between friends or family members.
Cuff will be available in fall 2014. The prices will start out at $50 for a bracelet and goes up to $150 for the more elaborated bracelets and necklaces.
