Biomimicry Shoe by Marieka Ratsma and Kostika Spaho

Those 3D-printed shoes were designed by Dutch fashion designer Marieka Ratsma and American architect Kostika Spaho

Organic inspiration

The curious and scuptural hollow heel was inspired by bird’s skull

Lightweight structure

The delicate and hollowed structure that almost looks like lace allowed the shoe to be 3D-printed using less material.

Scuptural design

Creators Ratsma and Spaho used the shape of a bird’s beak to design the spike of the heel.

  1. The information was ok but there could have been more. Also the photos could have been a little bit smaller.

  2. Hello would you mind stating which blog platform you’re using?
I’m going to begin my own blog in the near future but I’m having a hard time making
a decision between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal.

The reason why I ask is mainly because your layout
seems different then most blogs and I’m looking for something unique.
P.S My apologies for being off-topic however i had to ask!
